As first time struggling dog owners, my family and I felt that our smart but stubborn dogs were too much to handle. After we discussed our troubles, our cell phones seemingly picked up our conversation. This resulted in me getting many advertisements about this app everywhere I looked. After seeing the app recommended enough times, I decided to give it a try. I actually found it helpful in many ways. For novice dog owners, it does a really great job in helping you understand your dog’s behaviors and what you can do to improve them. I would recommend anyone who cares for a dog, takes them out for walks, trains them, or is just a companion for them to get this app.

There are a plethora of things you can do on this app. One of my dogs, for example, had issues with walks since he would not stop jumping up and down with excitement. My other dog, however, just refused to walk at all on a leash. Luckily, there were video tutorials on the Woofz app that helped to get rid of such undesirable behaviors.

The app also provided other courses like dog training that helped get rid of undesirable behaviors such as excessive barking, chewing, and howling. It also helped me have my dogs get basic commands down such as sit or down.

If you are one to brag and say that your dog runs circles around mine, there are even courses for dogs to learn more advanced tricks. Some examples include high five or catch a frisbee, among dozens more.

If you do not have the time to train your dogs, or you’re not looking to teach them commands, there is still a way to put this app to use. The app’s journal tab is one of them. In this section, there is a calendar with two separate tabs. The My Events tab and the Health Check tab. The events tab is where you can add events and schedule times when you are available to either walk your dog or train them.

The Health Check tab is slightly different in how it contains a calendar that is identical to the My Events tab, but has plenty of options where you can take note of your dog’s behavior, symptoms, mood, and energy level. This feature has helped a lot in keeping track of health patterns, which is crucial to your pet’s health. This has helped me see what triggers certain symptoms and how I can prevent them.

The app caters to people with more than one dog such as myself. The app has you answer questions about your dogs in order to suit both their personalities and needs. You can also keep track of dog walks and how long you walk them for. For iPhone users, there is even a walking widget you can add to your phone, so that you will not even have to open the app to do so.

I would recommend the Woofz app to anyone who may be struggling with training their dog or wants to be more organized with information concerning their dog. In my experience using this app, I saw a drastic improvement in my dog’s behavior thanks to video tutorials. Also, having a calendar is helpful in notifying me when it is time to take my dog for a walk. The only thing I would criticize about this app is that for many of the more advanced commands, you have to subscribe. This subscription is called ‘Woofz Club” and costs $29.99 a year. It unlocks special commands, a more personalized experience, and clearer training videos. Nonetheless, I believe that paying the subscription fee would be better than hiring a professional trainer as it would be much cheaper. (The average trainer would likely charge about $40 to $70 per session). However, the subscription is not needed in order to have a great experience with this app. So, if you have a dog or two, I would recommend sacrificing a bit of storage to download the Woofz app.
