We at the Critic are dedicated to amplifying the voices and emphasizing the opinions of today’s youth. Founded in June 2022, the Classic Critic is the sister branch of Townsend Harris High School’s award-winning student-run publication, The Classic, and our mission is to give teenagers the spotlight when it comes to expressing their opinions on films, literature, products, etc. We hope to expand our publication and give this same opportunity to students all over New York City and around the nation in an effort to increase the diversity of criticism as it currently is.
