Milk Tea Shaved Ice: 9/10
The milk tea shaved ice stands out, offering a rich, well-balanced flavor reminiscent of a classic bubble tea. The ice is infused with a subtle yet aromatic tea flavor, complemented by a drizzle of brown sugar syrup and chewy tapioca pearls. The creaminess of the ice pairs perfectly with the slight bitterness of the tea, creating a harmonious blend of sweet and earthy notes evocative of the autumnal season. Its thoughtful balance and satisfying texture make it a must-try for milk tea fans.
Mango Shaved Ice: 7/10
The mango shaved ice features vibrant, tropical flavors. The smooth, milky ice is topped with a generous drizzle of mango syrup, accompanied by juicy mango chunks and popping boba, which add a fun burst of sweetness. While refreshing, the mango flavor felt slightly one-dimensional and overly sweet at times. It’s a satisfying choice for mango enthusiasts but lacks depth compared to the milk tea option.
The café’s playful presentation and attention to detail make these desserts a delightful treat, turning an ordinary dessert into an experience worth savoring. While the mango shaved ice is refreshing and crowd-pleasing with its tropical flavors, the milk tea shaved ice steals the show with its depth of flavor and balance. Its sweet and earthy tones make it a standout option that will appeal to all dessert lovers. Additionally, when it came to the prices, it was quite affordable with each bowl of shaved ice being priced at about 16 dollars. The portions are very generous so up to four people can share one order. The staff was also very helpful and clear. They brought out our desserts not too long after we ordered considering there were other guests at the spot with us. So, whether you’re seeking a creative dessert or simply a cozy spot to unwind, Flowers and Dessert offers a memorable experience that’s well worth the visit!
