Crepe “N” Tearia: sweet tooth heaven

Crepe “N” Tearia: sweet tooth heaven

Critic Rating: 8.5/10 ⭐️

Everyone loves a good crepe, whether sweet, fruity or even savory. If you are looking for a good spot to purchase them, Crepe “N” Tearia is a great dessert bar to do so. The locally run shop on 177-07 Union Turnpike in Fresh Meadows features a variety of crepes, waffles, bubble tea, cakes, and drinks. The selection of flavors and customizations will definitely leave anyone satisfied!

The interior of Crepe “N” Tearia is rather small but aesthetically pleasing to the eye, making it a perfect place for a few friends to hang out and enjoy a few treats. We ordered the Strawberry Banana Nutella Ice Cream Waffle, Strawberry Nutella Ice Cream Crepe, and Peach, Ice Cream, and Whipped Cream Crepe. They were freshly made right before us, and the wait time was also very short. The staff was super friendly and accommodating as well.

All the flavors we got were delicious, despite the concepts being quite simple.

Here’s the full breakdown:

Ice Cream, Nutella, Strawberry, Banana Waffle

The waffle was light and fluffy and the exterior was nice and crispy. It wasn’t too sweet, which was great because the fruits and the ice cream added the perfect amount of sweetness. The warm chocolate and waffle paired with the chilled ice cream and fruit was delightful.

Peach, Whipped Cream and Ice Cream Crepe

The simplicity of this crepe is what made it great. You get the warm, juicy, and tart flavor of the peach paired with the cold vanilla ice cream. All of which was wrapped in a crisp thin crepe. It was super decadent and rich

Strawberry, Ice Cream, Nutella Crepe

Taste-wise this was quite similar to the waffle, just minus the bananas. The difference was that it was all wrapped in a crepe giving it a smoother texture, without the crunchiness of the waffle.

Since we got both the waffle and crepe versions of the strawberry and Nutella, I would say, when comparing them, the waffle version is better because the overall texture is more appealing.

As for the pricing, it wasn’t too bad, costing anywhere from $7 to $9 depending on add-ons. None of the items exceeded $10, which is good if you’re looking for something filling to eat without breaking the bank, and you get a pretty big portion for your money. Overall, all the desserts we tried left us pleased and craving more, so we will definitely be coming back (and possibly trying out their boba too!).
